Starting, stopping, and restarting a bare metal server

Use Colt® Edge Service Manager to stop, start, or restart a Colt® Edge Bare Metal server provisioned for your organization. You can also edit information and view the details for a bare metal server. If you no longer need the bare metal server, you can delete it.

Note: Stopping, starting, and restarting do not impact billing. When you delete a bare metal server, billing is stopped.

To start, stop, and restart a bare metal server:

  1. Click the Servers tab.

    The Edge Service Manager shows the servers created for your organization.

  1. Click the server name you want to work with.

    The Edge Service Manager shows details for the server you selected.

  1. Do one of the following:

    • To stop the server, click SERVER ACTIONS, then click Stop.

      The Edge Service Manager stops the server.

    • To start the server, click SERVER ACTIONS, then click Start.

      The Edge Service Manager starts the server. 

    • To restart the server, click SERVER ACTIONS, then click Restart.

      The Edge Service Manager restarts the bare metal server.
